Wonderful Winter Family / Birthday at the Launch Pad

We had come up to the Launch Pad for New Year's Eve and celebrated that at the new Launch Pad building. It was a great first time checking out how the new wood stove and furnace worked!

Our next winter visit was for Family Day. We hosted the community for a Northern Lights potluck dinner and fireworks display. The snowmobile trail out to the island was in great shape and we had over 40 sleds and likely 70 people visit!

Sunday was a chill day just puttering around… And 4 person neighbourhood birthday party.

On Family Day it was officially my birthday. I woke up at the island and had a first ever birthday bath in Key Harbour.

Len and Vanessa (who met windsurfing in Bonaire) served 13 of us breakfast. What a great weekend with wife, my 3 kids, a fiancée, a boyfriend, international friends, 2 great nephews and niece.  The photos tell the rest of the story.

Excited for some springtime windsurfing trips and I'm already getting bookings for windsurfing and foiling lessons at the Launch Pad this summer.
