Welcome to The Launch Pad Windsurf Academy. I started windsurfing here on Georgian Bay in 1980 and simply love teaching people to windsurf. I've windsurfed all around the world and the clean water in Key Harbour is still my favourite. Come join us for a lesson on gear perfectly set up for you and discover the best way to explore the 30,000 islands.
WINDSURF LESSONS
Private or Group fun. Most lessons start with 15 minutes of theory and 15 minutes on the simulator. Then 30 minutes on the water and you will likely be windsurfing with a smile on your face!
FANATIC AND DUOTONE EQUIPMENT

SAFETY PROCEDURES IN THE WATER
Sept 2019
Life jackets are required as per Canadian Regulations. A SeaDoo is availble for a tow back if needed. It also helps with instruction and for photos!
WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
July 2020
June and July are great for beginners with sunny days and light winds. August and September see days with good WSW winds for advancing your skills.

With the growth of wind foiling, we now have two Slingshot foils to learn on. In 2020 I had two experienced windsurfers who were foiling successfully on their first 30 minutes with the foil!
